This category recognises the individuals who provide the crucial store operations support at head office with a minimum of two years experience. Judges are looking for individuals that demonstrate the skills and intuition to serve the needs of the business both at the centre and across the branch network. The nominator should highlight the importance of the entrant's contribution and how the organisation has taken steps to develop their career to date. Specific examples of projects that have been managed or developed by the entrant showcasing the business benefits should be included in the entry.

- This category recognises head office support teams who provide the crucial store operations support at head office. - Visual Merchandiser of the Year (Individual or team)
- This category is open to both visual merchandisers and teams working in any retail sector with a minimum of two years retail experience. Judges are looking for evidence of training provided by the Retailer and prior to entering Retailing. Specific examples including photographs of projects that have been managed by the entrant showcasing the business benefits should be included in the entry. Visual merchandising includes in-store VM or Window merchandising.

This category is open to individuals who are participating in or who have completed a Retail Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales in 2007/2008. The award will recognise those whose contribution to the workplace has exceeded their employer's expectations by producing exceptional and measurable benefits. The entry should highlight their role, the contribution they have made and how they have benefited from their apprenticeship.
